Privacy Policy
Ahem is built around a simple idea: your microphone data should never leave your Mac. This Privacy Policy explains what Ahem does, and importantly what it doesn't do, with your data.
Audio & the microphone
Ahem uses your Mac's microphone only to detect the cough sound you trained. Audio is processed locally in real time and is never recorded, stored, uploaded, or transmitted off your device. There is no cloud processing.
What we store on your Mac
The only thing Ahem stores locally is the small on-device model representing your trained cough, plus your app preferences (such as which browsers to hide). You can retrain or delete this at any time from the Preferences window.
What we don't collect
- No audio recordings.
- No microphone streams sent to any server.
- No personally identifiable information.
- No third-party analytics or advertising trackers inside the app.
Website
This marketing website may use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate visits. It does not attempt to identify you personally.
